Abstract:?The Flux-Anomaly-Forced Model Intercomparison Project (FAFMIP) is an intercomparison project in the CMIP6. FAFMIP has designed five experiments, in which prescribed surface flux perturbations of momentum, heat and freshwater are applied to the surface of Atmosphere–Ocean General Circulation Models (AOGCM) in CMIP6, aiming to investigate the uncertainties in simulations of global mean sea level rise due to ocean heat uptake, and thermal expansion, and dynamic sea level change due to ocean density and circulation change in response to CO2 forcing by AOGCM.
